Bald eagles are majestic creatures, but sometimes even they get into trouble. Fortunately, as you can see in this video, a trapped bald eagle got some help — from an Army sharpshooter, no less! This patriotic moment took place when veteran Jason Galvin noticed that a bald eagle near his home was caught by some rope and hanging from a tree. He used his sniping skills from the Army to free the bird by shooting a .22-caliber rifle at the rope. After 150 rounds and 90 minutes, the rope was severed, thankfully without hitting the bird itself. Afterward, Galvin and his wife named the eagle Freedom and took it to the University of Minnesota Raptor Center for recovery. The eagle is in good health and was released shortly after its recovery!
