Drone Captures Massive Manta Ray Swimming Alongside Shark

Drones have really changed our perception of the world around us. We can now see things from above, and sometimes they surprise us.

One of the ways in which the surprises often come is when we see the ocean from above.

We realize that a lot of the sea has yet to be discovered, and most people don’t have the opportunity to see what is out there.

That is why it is so amazing to see the footage of a shark swimming along with a manta ray. We may know that those rays are large, but when you compare the sizes of the two side-by-side, it shows that the ray size is beyond what most of us would realize.

Before we say this is some giant sea creature, we aren’t sure how big the shark is. There are some relatively small species of shark in the ocean, and this may be one of them.

One thing is sure, however, the “Huge oceanic Manta Ray spotted near Trinidad” is making its rounds online and has been going viral on Reddit. More than 20,000 people have upvoted the video, and comments are coming in.

It’s always amazing to see things we aren’t typically able to see. That being said, we should also not jump to conclusions that the ray could take down a ship if it wanted.

As one commenter pointed out, it may not be a shark but rather a cobia similar in size to a small shark.

Regardless of the shark’s size, the ray may have a wingspan of up to 30 feet, which is certainly enough to get our attention.
