This Tiny Possum Lost His Mom When She Was Killed By A Cat. Then He Met The Man Who Saved His Life

A tiny orphaned ringtail possum, named Garry or Gaz for short, was brought to Symbio Wildlife Park in Sydney, Australia, after his mother was killed by a cat. In order to ensure survival, Garry had to be hand-raised.

So, zookeeper Jarrad stepped up to the plate and took on the challenge. He has raised the adorable little guy ever since, and now the two of them are inseparable! Garry adores Jarrad and doesn’t ever leave his side.

“When Gaz wants to go off exploring, all Keeper Jarrad needs to do is be nearby and Gaz will run along the branches and launch himself onto Jarrad, before taking comfort in the warmth of his shirt pockets,” Symbio Wildlife Park said in a statement.

In the video below, you’ll see Gaz eating fruit from his hands, and crawling up and down his sleeves. I bet you will melt from the cuteness!
