Gentle Rhino Wakes Sleeping Dog From A Nap

Rhinos are big animals, and they look pretty fierce as well! Their hide is thick and looks like armor – definitely not the kind of animal that you want to messing with in the wild.

However, despite their rough exteriors, they can actually have their moments of gentleness. If there are any doubts, IFS Officer Susanta Nanda shared a short video that proves rhinos can be gentle giants.

The video, which was shared on Twitter, shows a large rhino strolling along the side of the road.

While the imposing creature might look intimidating, it actually isn’t. In fact, it’s got a fair bit of curiosity when it comes to a napping dog.

In the video, as the rhino walks along, it sees the sleeping dog. That is when it walks up and gently nudges the dog, almost as if checking up on the dog.

Of course, the dog gets completely spooked. Imagine waking up from a nap only to see such a giant animal standing over you? Naturally, the dog runs away and is scared, but the rhino doesn’t seem to mind.

In fact, it’s almost like he follows the dog, wanting to make friends.

In the tweet, Nanda stated, “If you wanted any proof that the Rhinos are really gentle,” and we have to agree. Although, you can’t help but feel bad for the staled pooch who gets awoken from his nap.
