These tiny fish can be found in freshwater throughout the United States, and only live for about two years.
Mosquitofish found in saline water live a bit longer than others due to reduced predation. That being said, they’re still no Jonathan’s in the lifespan department.
Dragonflies are probably the loveliest of all flies. Sadly, they only live for about four months, and it’s not all that hard to see why. They have a lot of predators–from spiders and birds, to lizards and frogs.
Unfortunately, they’re simply not that great at escaping the many animals eager to make them their next meal.
